Growing Up Can Be Overwhelming
If you sprain an ankle or come down with the flu, getting medical treatment is a no-brainer. Unlike physical ailments, however, mental illness is frequently misunderstood, and those suffering often fear judgement. This is called stigma, and it can keep people from seeking help.
At The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, we treat mental health with the same importance as physical health, and celebrate the courage it takes to ask for help. We see your challenges through your eyes, and provide the most appropriate treatment.
With our unique set of resources, we’re able to diagnose and treat any level of illness, regardless of age or situation. We’re committed to providing mental health care to New Hampshire’s children and teens, because everyone has the right to a happy, healthy life.

What Do We Do?
Following a thorough evaluation, we’ll develop an individualized treatment plan. Based on individual and family needs, some services are provided in the office and others are provided in the home and community. We encourage family involvement as a critical part of the healing process. We also offer ProHealth, an integrated care program (which includes primary care) for 16 and 17 year olds.
What Do We Treat?
We are prepared to treat any mental illness and provide the help necessary to promote recovery. Just a few of our specialty areas include:
- Academic, behavior or social problems
- Relationship difficulties with parents, family, or peers
- Attention Deficit or Hyperactivity
- Substance misuse or life changes
Clinicians in The Child & Adolescent Services Division can also treat Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), which are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood. ACEs can include violence, abuse and growing up in family with mental health or substance use problems. Click here for more information on treatment and support for trauma-related issues.
