MIASP Supports our Child and Teen services with The Eddie Chambers Fund

The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester would like to recognize a long-standing partnership with a neighboring organization that has assisted children, adolescents, and their families in accessing quality, evidence-based mental health care.

Mental Illness and Suicide Prevention (MIASP) is a nonprofit organization founded by young adults to bring awareness to peers and the community regarding mental illness and suicide prevention. The organization strives to find a path that allows honesty, openness, and awareness to expose and destroy the stigma of mental illness that impacts community members daily.

In April 2023, MIASP established the Eddie Chambers Fund with The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (MHCGM) to assist children, adolescents, and their families in removing the financial barriers in accessing care. Since that time, over 250 services have been rendered to the benefit of 40 different families. Services such as MATCH, CBT, and DBT are just a few of the evidence-based practices that were utilized by MHCGM clinicians to assist children and teens. The Eddie Chambers Funds forged a gap that many families face when needing to make difficult decisions around their child’s mental health care due to financial constraints.

MHCGM is so thankful for MIASP’s donation. While all funds have been used, we certainly hope to partner with them again in the future!
