Do you tell your clients and colleagues to make sure to take time for “self-care” yet are not actively incorporating it yourself? This interactive session will focus on offering realistic ways to increase well-being during your workday. We will set the stage by normalizing the biology/technology stressors that impact resilience, as well as highlight the differences between key terms such as burnout and secondary trauma, and empathy and compassion, that impact healthcare professionals. The session will discuss the concept of mindful self-care and offer somatic and cognitive exercises in real-time to support coming back to the present moment, with a focus on regulation and self-compassion.
