Crisis Intervention Training is an internationally recognized training to assist law enforcement in responding to individuals experiencing psychiatric symptoms. Using a CIT approach, law enforcement is able to maintain public safety and resolve the situation in a manner that upholds SOPS without unnecessarily involving the criminal justice system. This immersive training is a collaboration between the Manchester Police Department and the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester. Law enforcement officers that complete this training will be designated as Certified in CIT. This training is FREE to attend.
