The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (MHCGM) recently earned the distinction of being named a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) by the NH Dept of Health and Human Services. The Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic is a growing care model that offers creative solutions with documented results to meet the challenges facing behavioral health care organizations across the nation. Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics are making significant headway toward access to equitable, high-quality behavioral health care that’s sustainable.
The CCBHC model requires:
- Crisis services to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Comprehensive behavioral health services to be available so people who need care don’t have to piece together the behavioral health support they need across multiple providers.
- Care coordination to be provided to help people navigate behavioral health care, physical health care, social services, and the other systems they are involved in.
“This prestigious designation of a CCBHC not only recognizes our commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality care but also opens up new avenues for funding and support. As one of only two centers in New Hampshire to achieve this certification, we are at the forefront of a transformative approach to mental health care delivery,” said MHCGM President & CEO Patricia Carty.
The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester has been working toward the CCBHC designation for several years, which involves adding programs, services, and staff. Carty added, “As we move forward, we remain committed to our vision of creating an ecosystem of excellence in mental health care. By raising the bar for community wellness, we are not only improving individual lives but also contributing to the overall economic and social well-being of our region.”
